Mutual of Omaha is seeking a software engineer with cloud expertise, not a DevOps or infrastructure engineer. This distinction matters. In this role, you will write production-grade TypeScript code using AWS CDK to design, build, and scale secure, reliable cloud environments. You will think like a developer, build shared libraries that other engineers consume, and bring a software engineering mindset to every infrastructure problem. You will work at the intersection of software development, cloud engineering, and platform enablement, partnering with teams across the organization to simplify cloud complexity and accelerate delivery. We are especially interested in someone with a curious mindset who actively explores and incorporates emerging technologies including AI. If you have spent your career writing infrastructure YAML and Terraform HCL, this role is likely not the right fit. If you have built applications, services, and libraries in TypeScript or a similar object-oriented language and want to apply that background to cloud platform engineering, we would love to connect. We’re especially interested in someone with a curious mindset who is eager to explore and incorporate emerging technologies including AI to continuously evolve and enhance our platform capabilities. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong engineering background, a developer’s mindset, and a passion for solving complex challenges. If you're excited about enabling teams, simplifying cloud complexity, and driving innovation in a fast-moving environment, then we’d love to connect. Apply today! |
