We are seeking a professional to review Individual Life and Health insurance referrals to evaluate risk assessments and make recommendations, to detect and prevent fraud risk, to review Department of Insurance inquiries and Regulatory tasks with Individual Underwriting leaders and coordinate responses back to Compliance and to conduct contestable claim reviews to determine material misrepresentation and coordinate with Claims on findings. This evaluation process includes working with a team of Senior level underwriters conducting background checks, medical record reviews, or consult on questions as it relates to specific cases or guidelines. (This underwriter role is not a production role). This role involves knowledge of Individual Life and Health medical/financial/all Underwriting guidelines, as well as knowledge on the various underwriting tools, requirements and processes available for use within Individual Underwriting. Depending on experience, this position will be filled as an Underwriter III, IV or V. |
